Whether you're arriving by air or cruise, and planning to explore by car, bus, or bike, Taniti offers various transportation options to suit your travel style.
Almost all visitors arrive to Taniti by air via our small airport, which accommodates small jets and propeller planes. Taniti is in the process of expanding the airport so larger jets will be able to land on the island within the next few years.
A small cruise ship docks in Yellow Leaf Bay once a week for overnight stays.
Rental cars are available from a local agency near the airport, offering flexibility for exploring the island at your own pace.
Public buses serve Taniti City from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily, providing an affordable way to navigate the city.
Private buses cover the rest of the island. Taxis are also readily available within Taniti City.
Bikes and helmets (required by law) can be rented from several vendors. Taniti City is fairly flat and highly walkable, perfect for leisurely strolls. Many tourists stay in the area surrounding Merriton Landing: this area is easy to explore on foot.
